Small-town girl, Owatonna by choice

I grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota, so I know small-town charm when I see it. The very first time I visited Owatonna, it reminded me of the Stillwater I grew up in: a beautiful downtown, friendly faces and a real sense of community.

I moved to Owatonna in 2020, and in 2021 I married my husband, who was born and raised right here. Together we have three daughters: one in college, one in high school and one in middle school. Between practices, concerts, games and everything in between, I know a thing or two about managing a hectic family calendar.

One place for everything happening around town

With three busy girls, it's hard to keep track of everything going on around here. The best events were scattered across a dozen Facebook pages, flyers and community calendars, and I kept hearing about them the day after.

So I built Explore with Aubrey: one simple place to find trunk-or-treats, craft markets, parades, school concerts, home games and everything else in Owatonna and the surrounding towns. It's free, and it always will be.

Hand-picked and kept up to date

• I gather events from community calendars, local organizations, schools and flyers that neighbors send me.

Rooted in downtown Owatonna

I've served on the Owatonna Main Street Advisory Board for three years, so I'm always hearing about what's coming up downtown. Some of my favorite moments are watching new neighbors fall in love with this place.
